Need more practice…

Been over five weeks since I was last rostered to play guitar at my church.  Been so busy over this period with Christmas gatherings, school holidays, get togethers… I haven’t been practicing as much as I would’ve liked.  Was a bit rusty picking up the guitar yesterday to go through the song list… Going through the songs again today and will definitely do more practicing tomorrow. One thing for certain though… as soon as I picked up the guitar and play, just confirms it that I really love playing the guitar and music.  The sound of the guitar, the feel of the strings, the guitar neck, etc…  I love ’em all. Such an honour and privilege to be able to play guitar in the Riverview Church Worship team.

Maisie’s 2nd TPLO Surgery

Maisie just had her 2nd TPLO surgery last week (11 Sept 2018) on her right leg.  She had her first TPLO surgery on her left leg back in March this year. She is doing better this time around but still needs to be strict on the amount of movement she’s able to do. First 2 weeks – only allowed toilet break while on lead (3 to 4 times per day). Weeks 3 to 4 – allowed 5 minute walks (2-3 times per day). Weeks 4 to 6 – allowed 5-10 minute walks (2-3 times per day). Weeks 6 to 8 – allowed 10-15 minutes walks (2-3 times per day)

Some photos from my recent trip to the Philippines…

Spent just under 10 days in the Philippines with the whole family as a remembrance to my dad on the second year since his passing. Took the 1am flight out of Perth to Singapore… Transit of about 6 hours before we departed Singapore to the Philippines around 2pm.  It was a very long day…. It was the first time for Nathaniel to experience Philippines.  Had a great time catching up with family and seeing all the kids interacting with each other is heart warming. We had a memorial service on the Sunday afternoon for my dad then a family dinner with my dad’s side of the family that evening. Thank you to all who took time to catch up with us while we were there… Mel and N had a great time so we will most likely be back there sooner rather than later 🙂
